| July 2012 Parish Council Update |
|
Thank you to those parishioners who attended our July meeting – your comments and views are always welcome.
You may have noticed that the mobile speed sign, which the parish are sharing with Awbridge Parish Council, has now arrived in the village. A number of people have contacted us regarding the foliage which may be obscuring the sign, and the council will be contacting the adjacent land owners to arrange to have this cut back. The sign will be moving around the village over the next 9 weeks, or so. Hildon Lorries have been reported driving through the village, which is against their policy. If anyone sees one of their Lorries in the village centre, please send the registration number and date to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . There are currently three and a half allotments available in Broughton. If you are interested, please get in touch. May we remind those allotment holders that park at Whiteshoot, to please drive and park considerately here? Children often play here and use this route to get to the playground and skatepark. There has been an increase in thefts from vehicles parked at our local beauty spots. The police will be at the following locations over the summer giving out crime prevention advice: 22nd July - Danebury Activity Day 5th August - Danebury Hill. 2pm-4pm 12th August - Stockbridge Down 11am – 12.30pm and Horsebridge Test Way car park 2pm-3:30pm The date of our next parish council meeting is Tuesday 4th September in the Village Hall. Parishioner’s Time is from 7.30 – 7.45pm. Everyone is welcome.
