New Headteacher at Broughton

A MESSAGE FROM NEIL HARDY

After 5 years at the helm, Janet Smith has retired as the Head teacher at Broughton Primary School and I am delighted to have been appointed to the role as of January 1st.

Before coming into education I worked for Exxon/Mobil and in IT consultancy and previously I was the Deputy Head at Wallop Primary School.  Married with 2 teenage sons, I enjoy the leafy drive to and from Totton each day.

A thriving school is an essential element of a vibrant village community, and I am pleased to report that at 80 pupils, the school is in a very healthy position. In the near future we plan to continue to improve our extensive grounds, and are hoping to enhance the children’s learning with improved ICT facilities – for which we will require your on-going support in difficult financial times!

Our parent fund-raising committee (FOBS) have a busy and varied schedule of events which they will be publicising through the school and our website: www.broughtonschool.com.

We strive to ensure an excellent, well-rounded education for children of the village, and our commitment to small class sizes and high staffing ensures the personalised touch in our well equipped buildings.

Parents and relatives who want to help us with our work are most welcome – and I am always available for a chat about anything relating to the school and its role in the village.

Your patronage and support ensures we can offer an excellent all round experience for the children of the locality.

Sincere regards,

Neil Hardy
