BFEB - September Update

You may have noticed that building work has started on our exciting new school project.

To remind you, we are putting a two-room foundation stage building which will:

• Improve the facilities and teaching capabilities at the school
• Establish a high quality, increased capacity, home for the pre-school
• Offer a new educational resource for the wider community.

The new building will be assembled in the first week of September (it is prepared off-site and installed with the use of 2 large cranes) and will be ready to use from late October.

The children and staff at the school and pre-school are naturally very excited and will be getting involved in naming and choosing colours, as well as doing their own school projects on the building.

Thanks to everyone who has worked so hard to get us to this point. Many of you have contributed money, time and effort, and some of you have done amazing things for the benefit of your community.

The project is costing £208,000 of which just under half is being paid for by the school. £58,000 has been received in grants and a fantastic £52,000 has been fund-raised, whether that be via Friends of Broughton School, the pre-school or the wider community.

There are still opportunities to get involved in this project as we move to the next phase. Please contact the school (301286) if you are interested in being a part of this exciting project.
