Everyone at Broughton Primary School and Broughton Pre-School wish to thank the community for their continued support of the very many activities taking place to raise funds for our project. The plans being considered are for the demolition of the old toilet block and the construction of a two-roomed Homelodge building, which has now taken the form of a T-shape in order to best fit the footprint of the old building. Current plans have been posted on the notice board outside school for your information. Car parking on the school site will be redesigned to enable our current users to park safely. We anticipate that the community room will be used for valuable extended school facilities in addition to providing a home for Pre-School. We intend to offer childcare facilities before and after-school in addition to extended activities for the local children from our school and the schools in our cluster. We feel these services will provide valuable support for the local community. In addition, we anticipate that the community room will be available for groups to use in the evenings and at weekends when the village hall is unavailable or unsuitable. In no way would we wish to encroach on the normal uptake of the village hall facilities. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. JANET SMITH, HEADTEACHER. 01794 301286
